Collection: Cider

At Suttons we produce our cider from fresh apples either grown on the orchard or purchased from local orchardists on the Granite Belt, Queensland. Both English and French cider apples or dessert apples, such as Pink Lady Apple, The Royal Gala Apple or Granny Smith Apple are used to make the cider, which is naturally fermented, converting all of the apple sugars into alcohol.  David produces Sutton's Apple Cider by the traditional champagne method, creating a Dry Cider which tends to be crisp and refreshing with a clean and sharp taste.

We also offer a Still Apple Cider which is exactly that!!! Still Apple Cider lacks carbonation resulting in a flat, still beverage. This unique cider lacks bubbles intentionally and its production process requires just as much thought and attention as any other cider, whether being carbonated, bottle conditioner or still.  All of these processes leave their mark on the consumer.  Sutton's Apple Cider is made in small batches; therefore, each batch will have unique characteristics which are dependent on the apples and the individual season.

Dry ciders are often enjoyed for their sophisticated and refreshing qualities and are a popular choice for those who prefer beverages that are not overly sweet. They're also great for pairing with a variety of foods, from cheeses and charcuterie to seafood and spicy dishes.
